The sculpture is a larger-than-life image of King wearing the Nobel Peace prize robe and holding out his hands. King appears to be standing on a mountain and looking toward the future. The inscription on sculpture is King's quote beginning, "I've been to the mountain top…" The sculpture was paid for by private donations raised by Mayor Mike Fahey.
